ISABELLA MCGAVIN was created by the forces that tried to cut her down. Old-soul Isabella was a chubby little redhead, boundlessly nourished by a loving family of butchers, bakers and caterers, and torn apart by the primary school playground bullies. She was bigger than the other kids, overtly loud, far too creative and altogether too ginger.

Isabella tucked herself into the kind of cocoon only a little girl would understand, and in it she discovered the safety and sanctuary of music. She devoured singing lessons in the grassroots city of Newcastle and by age 12 was busking with her guitar and gigging professionally.

Inspired by vocal goddesses Adele, Sara Bareilles, Alicia Keys and Missy Higgins, Isabella blossomed into a luxury we can all afford. A captivating voice of power and intimacy. An intriguing mix of whisper and soul mama.

As a windborne songwriter, musician and performer Isabella believes nothing good comes of copying other artists. She is the first Isabella. Passionate, driven, spiritual. Loud clothes, big earrings and coffee.

Isabella is entirely in love with creating new work in the special space of home. Her creative process begins with the piano or guitar, noodling about with chord progressions as she dreams across the river from her window with scented candles glowing and her lucky song-writing book in her lap.

Isabella makes no apologies for her plans to dominate the music world. Her vision of playing stadiums and world tours is solid. She will never stop chasing her dream of performing every day on a large scale, being on the charts and inspiring people with her story and music.
